I think I might get the S3 LTE but on a 3G contract. Bristol has good 4G coverage but tbh the contracts are too expensive at the mo - so I might just wait til mid term upgrade as prices should have come down by then

Hardest bit is finding the phone as most places just list an S3 without saying the model number

Give it a year and some company will think of a way to get those speeds on your PC without needing a landline

They asked me if I wanted 4G then, but the coverage was not the best in my area at that time. They are now rolling it out in my area so it now covers my home postcode and will cover my work shortly.
I got a call last week asking if I wanted to upgrade so asked how much and what i get. I would get unlimited texts and calls, 3GB download limit, bt open zone acess, free music downloads etc etc. This was a 24 month contract but as I had signed up to 18 month they would honour that and also my half price line rental for life so it would only cost me an extra £3 a month. I get all that for £27 inclusive PM
I have checked the speed and currently getting 15mbps on speedtest with a 2 bar signal so should be miles quicker when it is fully rolled out in this area. The lad that rang me said he managed to get 40mbps in Sunderland!
I will see how it goes but for an extra £3pm I cant go too wrong
That's a bloody good deal, 4G wise, i thought it was still on the "major" cities that where getting it at the mo..

Depends where you are though, I'm in a well developed* area of Bristol but only get 2-3mbps landline net connection which is the best I'll get here

    * in terms of housing and whatnot, but not internet connection it seems

My home broadband is 60 meg and I do usually get over 50 meg. Sometimes drops slightly at peak times to 35-45 meg but not often.

Similar here, broadband is at best 4meg but usually sitting around 2.5meg. Bt keep a rolling 3 month promise for infinity it's been 3months away for nearly 2 years grrr.

Even if you have high speed mobile you'll never be able to download at the speed of a home connection
