    Default Nova GSi restoration

I've had this Nova since late 2005, and always had the intention of restoring it, but between one thing and another it was always left to the side.
Finally got my finger out in May time there and stripped it bare and left it in to get painted, then took the head staggers and went for a colour change!! It was originally Diamond Black as you can see, but I hadn't seen a decent red GSi about for a long long time, so took the bull by the horns and went for it!!
This is how I got it:

    And how it looks tonight!!

Will get more decent pictures of it at the weekend when I get it home (if it's dry!!!!).
Have a brand new GSi kit gor it, skirts and all, genuine tailgate vinyl, so should look the business when it's built up again!!!

Yup, it's just standard flame red, and will more than likely be kept standard for the first while anyway.

Could be tempted to lower it, Sofstars and 45's in the future though!!! But just want to get it up and going for the time being!!!

did they use any clear coat? or just the red? You'll have to keep it polished!

Yeah, it's laquered, didn't want any of that direct gloss nonsense!!!!!

It'll be kept polished all right, but then again it won't be driven too much, and kept garaged so wouldn't have had any fading problems anyway!
