Bit of thinking required!

I have a corsa 1.6 16v engine in my nova. Now, I've been told I could have an F16 box (is this true) . I've looked in the usual place and I can't see any code anywhere?. If I have an f16 this will fit my 20xe and my shafts will be ok, right or wrong?

i thought it was the f15's on the 1.6 16v's

the box has a load of part numbers on but no F code that I can see?

the later type of gearboxes have the number on about where the inner cv joints are.

i had the same problem with a f13, 1 had the big number on top, and the other just had a long number way lower on the side of the gearbox.
