    Default fuel pumps

my first post in about a year would be in technical who'd have thought it.

anyway, am in the middle of reshelling a sri i've fitted the engine gearbox and complete wiring loom, now the car all those parts have gone into is a j-reg 1.2spi, will i have to change the fuel tank or can i take a fuel pump from say a gsi and fit it to the 1.2 tank?

or do i have to swap the lot over, i.e gsi tank and pump?

    cheers Mike.

Think you can use a Cav or Calibra MPi (XE) intank pump.

    Search.

Pump on the leg.... MPi (GSi) tank needed.

Keep the SPi tank..... use an intank MPi pump as per my 1st reply.

if you have the gsi tank then fit that and use the gsi pump mounted on the leg ,

if you want to keep your tank you will need a mk3 astra mpi pump which will replace the spi pump in your tank
