    Default Rebuilding DHLA 40's

Right, i'm going to strip and rebuild my 40's. However, i need to beable to get it running after-wards so i can take it for a setup ! This might involve driving some considerable distance !

So, what should i do... Mark all screw positions e.t.c ? or are they fairly easy to setup in terms of getting it running okish ?

I would record the numbers of turns in to the stop (so you can wind them out on reassembly) ensure the same adjusting screws return to the same oriface, etc.

taking time to make sure you understand and can follow what you record.

yep number of turn for the idle screws will suffice, but check them all as they are never the same on all cy;inders!

apart from that it should be pretty straight forward the only bit you won;t be able to monitor is the position of the balance screw as the minor changes in the levels of the carbs when bolted back on will affect the balance of them
