    Default Big bang on the vectra....

    Just had a huge bang from the back of the vectra at 15mph as I was going down the close. N/S/R wheel off (as it was sitting low at this corner), and I found this wedged in the trailing arm,



    The damm spring has broken, right at the bottom, thank god I wasn't giving it beans down one of the local back-roads!

    The real downer is I can't get hold of a second-hand spring until monday, but at least it's only going to be ?20, and comes with the rear strut so it's a simple bolt-off, bolt-on job.

    oh there not simple, the bottom 22mm i think is very very tight indeed

    3-foot long torque wrench should sort that out luke!
