Primer.

am i right that primer is porus and there for if i paint a previously rusty patch and then primered and top coated it would rust from the inside out?


so say if i was to be repairing a wing which i had to bring bits back to bare metal, what should i use insted of primer?

or am i talking BS?

Yes its porous.
Use etch primer on bare metal.

Halfraud sell it as Zinc primer.

Fibre glass it from behind & use an under seal or stone chip type protector to avoid any extra seepage from behind....

Sounds like a bodge.
