    Question Camshaft Codes

hi everyone, im in need of more help again

this time i want to know where the letter should be stamped on my cam? do i have to remove the cam to get to it???

pics will be a great help if you could

just picked up an engine its stamped 13sb so its the 1.3 sr bottom end but it has a pierburg 1b carb and F10 box so im a bit suspicious of what cam and head it has got

mainly need to know where the letter is stamped and how to get to it.

    thanks
    Lyndon

It must be a mega early 1300 engine(pre 85 iirc), with a single choke carb.
Remove the dizzy, you can then see the cam mark. Mark the dizzy position before removing it.

As long as vaux didn't slip a 1200 cam(same as the inlet/carb) onto the early 1300's, yeah.

Should be an SR cam, mine was an early engine, built in late '84
