    Default 45's or bike carbs???

    the carbs in question are zzr1100 jetted for a xe there alot cheaper than 45's but is there advantage/disadvantages and is there big diffrence in power figures

    Disadvantages=Price of inlet
    Having to make up a throttle linkage etc
    Finding someone that knows how to set them up to suit a car engine.

    Advantages=Variable venturi, so they have good driveability compared to webers.
    There newer so less likely to need re-furbing etc.

    inlet from bogg brothers is ?188 but compared to what you would spend on 45's and a inlet the bike carbs are cheaper anyone fabricated a throttle linkage before any difficulties???

    i've got a set of zzr1100 carbs (not on an engine yet) and the throttle linkage seems straight forward they just have one cable that operates all four butterflies, much like the cable used on pierburg 2e3 carbs hope this helps
