    Default guestimate on power figures

    im going to be priceing up how much my engine will cost just would like to no if anyone has run a similar spec and what sort of power figures they got back

    20seh (130) bored up to a 2.1
    big valve race worked head
    woosner pistons
    uprated rods
    arp bolts
    45's
    probably all lightened and balanced
    not sure what else

    any help would be lovely thanx

    you'll struggle to break 200bhp imho... the cost of all that would be best put onto an XE, atleast that way you "should" be able to hit 200bhp without needing much in the wya of head work.

    you WILL need a semi lairy cam to make use of that on the 8v... and also the 16v if you do that

    yeah sorry stu forgot to put it should be having a rally cam kit , so double vavle springs , uprated followers etc i know it would make sence to do the 16v but just fancied being diffrent and i like 8v's i would be happy with 200 bhp

    imho 200bhp will be lucky... will be more like 190ish. but still its enough power to have fun with. most of it would be midrange too as the 8v tents to run out of puff higher up the revs.

    coolio well i was hoping for 180 bhp so anything over that is a bonus but should be good fun fun in a stripped put nova hopefully ready for pvs and billing next year cheers stu

    with that sort of spec cant see it makeing more than 170bhp if its to much head work and the cams are to wild wont be much fun to drive

    well the bloke that im building it with builds race engines so he knows more than i do he reckoned around the 200 mark was achievable and he does build alot of race engines so il just go with what he says and wait and see
