Sri running problems
Well as corsa sport aint much cop i thought i'd rely on the trusty people on here!
Lately my corsa sri doesnt seem to have as much ooomph as it did, seems to be a bit sluggish, almost as if its holding back. I also noticed that somewhere near where the injectors are it seems to be making a kind of ticking noise. I dont really know an awful lot about injection engine so was wondering if someone would point me in the right direction!
Its a 1.4 8v by the way.
The ticking noise is the injectors operating,in my experience head gasakets tend to be a bit of a weak point on these,other than that,weak coil pack?,cat damaged?...
Has it had a service recently? Fuel filter & plugs & leads. Try wiping the leads down with GT85 or WD40, try to eliminate any damp.
Cheers guys, how would i go about cleaning my injectors? would it make much difference?
They have to be ultrasonically cleaned. About ?50ish to have them cleaned iirc.
The ticking is normal.
