nova is fixed
ok as some you know i got my nova as a non runner. i went out in the rain today and i got her running for the princley sum of ?14.99
the problem was a lobe missing off the cam for one of the exhaust valves, and a shagged starter motor
the starter motor cost me nothing as for some reason when i had my old nova i aquired a 1.4 lump for and before getting rid of the lump i took the starter off it and put it in the cupboard. the cam i got off a mate of mine for ?10 (its a 1.4 sr cam) and the carrier too..then i had to get some fuel hose and a couple of jubilee clips ?4.99 fitted it all in just over 2 hours and took her for a spin..and she runs sweet as a nut...so i'm well chuffed now and we can now let the modding begin..i already have a set of 2ltr 16v brakes i won on the bay yesterday so they will be going on next weekend :D
