e bay buy?

bought some brand new(secondhand but never used) 60mm g max shocks and springs off e bay ?69,but i think there is something missing,the very top part of the shock that bolts to the car and holds the spring in isn't there,should it be or do i use the one i have? never bought a new set before. any help would be good as not yet givin feedback to seller yet.

you need to use your existing top mount for them or if there w****d get a new set from your local motorfactors

Use the top part of the original shocks. I think that's how most kits come, mine did.
