Default My Nova Turbo Build Progress

Came off the road this year in Sep/Oct. Got a lock up so i can do some work to it this year withoute getting cold and wet on my driveway!

    Plans are:

    Mount Intercooler properly
    Bit of bodywork
    Quaife LSD
    Coilovers
Neaten up interior and spray it
Finish few jobs to inside etc

Came off the road looking like this:

Only really done a few bits and bobs to mine so far, been busy with few other jobs, headgaskets, brakes etc...

Intercooler, was the first job that i wanted to do:

Looking at it in the pictures you can see where the I/C is pushing on the bottom of the bumper, this isnt finshed yet still got to make a new bumper mount and cut a little bit more out of the bumper.

    But looks much better!

Got these seats shortly before i took it off the road, as you can see needs the inside spraying bodycolour:

Welded around the rear turrets for a bit more strength

Finally getting rid of the flushed tailgate, and replacing with early item:

PS Shopping trolley habndle removed too!

Well thats pretty much it for now, progress is slow due to 12hr shifts at work plus 2hrs travelling each day, should get a nice bit done over xmas though!

    Paul

Cheers Carl, i agrre will look better with this boot and spoiler. Whys it a waste of an early tailgate Baxter?

And Nwalliams, its an evo VIII one thats covered 4k, cost me probably about 1/10th of what a newnaftermarket one would have. Plus looks pretty cool anyway i think. It is running 22psi in 5th...

I think baxter said that because the lock recess has been welded over?
So it now looks like a any normal mk2 boot with the grab handle removed...?

Looking good Paul, a std gsi spoiler, and the std boot will look much better.

The Mk1 boot has a smaller number plate recess. On a Mk2 boot the recess stretches right up and under the grab handle.

If i get rid of the rear bumper, it means i will have to get rid of the sideskirts, and then the whole car basically needs spraying again which would mean i hve to put other plans on hold.

    Thanks for the comments
