aye the c14se came from an astra (apparently) but was also avalible in the nova? maybe the gsi?, also the 14se looks identical to the gte bar the writing on the rocker cover, has anyone tried putting the gte head/pistons etc.. in a bored 14?

isnt the c14se the nova sri engine? therefore the corsa sri engine too? when you say you've 'mullered' the bottom end what do you mean, are you sure you haven't just f**ked your shells? BG

dont know, is it?, symptoms as follows: was running low on oil, half way through a timed run and she lost power, loud metallic rattlin, oil light came on due i think to a new leak (was all over the drivers side bottom end and wheel support).i dont know for sure coz ive not taken the bottm apart yet but i think the oil pump failed and a crank bush desintergrated, related damage is unknown as yet, is that what you mean by shells?
