I know it's an all too familiar occurrence of this project losing momentum, but rarely do plans actually happen as I hope. I can't believe it's been nearly a year and a half since I did an update!

Unfortunately, I've been dealing with a divorce since autumn last year. The ex-wife pulled that one out of no where. This, of course, has consumed most of my energy, emotions and funds, and so the Nova has been put on the back burner... again!

My plans haven't changed, and I aim to pick up where I left off soon as this mind-f*ck is over.

Anyway, chaps (and chapettes) I look forward to giving you all a better update!

You're not alone dude, I'm sure there's a bunch of us on here now who's been through it, I've just done all that shit, 1 year I've been apart mate, divorce was back in March, you'll be alright mate, lifes too short to let it hurt for too long. 👍🏻

Fast forward a couple of years and I've also joined the club of people having gone through a lengthy split, lack of funds/time/space but like you, the plans haven't changed.

Oh look... An update! Maybe not quite. This is slowly becoming a life update thread, rather than a Nova one.


The Nova is in storage somewhere in the Hertfordshire countryside enjoying retirement after I sold my house, as part of my divorce. Having moved into a flat, I am no longer near to it for any free-time fettling and even if I were, the unit doesn't quite allow for work on premises. The C'LET is stored at my gf's place in South London. By sheer (bad) chance, her cellar flooded not too long after started storing bits there. A few parts sat in water for a few days and so the crank needs some minor reworking to clean it up and make good, plus a few (non-critical) parts had to be binned. The Vectra VXR is getting most of my car love right now.


Aside from the above, all's well.
