On the hunt for a Generation 2 Suzuki Hayabusa for a donor engine (I'd rather buy a complete bike). But ideally I want to get a turbocharged Hayabusa in there.

    If not 2.

Cant you just buy most the bits off the shelf for an autograss build . I know you are racing in a totaly different sport but surely it would be a good place to look for ideas as its been done to death in their sport

No, autograss stuff is totally unsuited to what I’m using the car for.

For example their differentials are not of limited slip type.

More progress has been made, the floorpan has been removed as far forward as the pedal box, and has been replaced with a tube structure to support the driver's seat and a sheet aluminium (or similar) flat floor.

There's also now a rear bulkhead to act as the forward bracing for the engine and transmission.

    Photos will follow.....

Currently still looking for an engine. I was offered a TTS Hayabusa Supercharger kit today, but my heart is set on the turbocharged version. I've had a quote from Holeshot Racing, not surprisingly it won't be cheap, but the power/torque is very impressive.

Power to weight ratio should comfortably be over the 1:1 range
