Little bit more progress today

Drilled and fitted the carbon rear panels



Same process for the doors



Then the fun began, trying to translate all the holes in the steel doors to the fibreglass ones, managed a reasonable job



Internal handle fitted aswell



External handle was a little harder, but it'll do



And the nearly finished product, just the hinges and mirror holes to sort.





Oh and we tried these bits and made them all fit nicely

Mock up only!! It will run on hatch wings, but we all like the saloon wings, so I'm having a pair dressed and sprayed when the car is painted.

The door hinges are the tricky bit on composite doors. Good luck with it, I will watch with interest.

I can't post a pic of the hinges yet, but safe to say they're being fabricated this week and we're confident on the design

Oooo, custom made hinges, now you have my full attention. I suppose I shouldn't have expected you to be cutting some out of a steel door and bolting them on (which is what I did)!

I need some lightweight hinges for mine.
