Doing a great job of this.
Thanks pal appreciate the comments just taking time to get somewhere with it. Always busy with other things .
Today I've been busy sorting the front wings out. The o/s had been bugging me sInce I bought the car it had a dodgy repair where the indicator is. So managed to beat the dent out after digging loads of filler out and give it a skim so it's feeling loads better now.
Also wanted to bin the ariel so welded up hole and skimmed that up all good now.
Finally cleaned up the inside of dirt and layed a coat of Kent rubber guard down to protect the inside. Good stuff this I use it in the bodyshop I work in alot.
before
after.
Swapped boot over with a spare one so I could prep the one off the car. Removed window and trim ect. Gave it a going over with 180's on a da. Hit it with some primer until I van 2k it with the other stuff.
Wrap around spoiler will be going on ideally wanted to get a early round lock boot but carnt find one.
Next up is repair rear panel where the boot seal goes needs two little patches. More soon.
Dilemma just moved the nova and exhaust is blowing on main front section just had a look and it's the original gm exhaust system . Also cambelt needs changing and pump as leaking coolant and belt has gone slack. Would you fix this engine or fit the e16se lump now. Reason asking what you would do in this situation . Was gonna sort bodywork 1st then do the engine swap. I know it ain't hard doing the cambelt and exhaust!
Won't cost much or take too long to fix the engine so I would get it going personally.
Yeh thinking the same to be honest if I fit the e16se wan't to do it right inc minting the bay up.
Cheers will only regret it if I do rush it. It will pay off in the end .
