Proper shonky, atleast your wheel didn't fall off!! hahaha
Epic day, Team Shonky Vauxhall are the best.
Looks like a awesome day.
Very good confident driving too. Nice tripoding.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one PepsiFar from suicidalStill I get them tendenciesBringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce
Really amazing the diference between trackdays at UK and here...
You know I love your tripod <3
^^^^ Rubbish!! Atleast UK trackdays have some sort of order!!
So why do I always blow inner CV joints on the passenger side?
First off wind down the spring platform so I can achieve 'compressed state' position of the left suspension:
Jack it up (using one of my old destroyed pistons ) to simulate bump or hard braking squat, check the shaft angle:
Inner CV replaced with a brand new greaseless one, it doesn't *look* that bad on the face of it:
But measuring where the ball sat at the bottom showed it was quite far in on the inner race:
Mock up spare ball bearing to show where the measurement means it sits:
Which explains why it munches itself with damage like this (this one's from Mallory)
I'm investigating a 10mm longer shaft, which I can hopefully have in prior to the next trackday...
I'll be at PV show tomorrow if anyone wants to come over and say hello.
