Mallory Park yesterday, 27 May 2016.

Myself, House and our new Team Shonky recruit Harvey all booked onto a Javelin open pit at Mallory. We'd all never been, and it was a great little circuit which looks boring on paper but technical and quick when out there.

We booked some pit garages and used a load that weren't in use, so took over the place.

Got some great track time in, sometimes busy but lots of space too. Team shonky on track

Then changing from 5th to 2nd for a hairpin resulted in a funny noise and no drive

I eventually got bored of sitting there and the marshalls not red flagging the session, I sat there for ages so eventually got out and took a nice photo from up the bank to amuse myself:

    Cracked on with repairs:

How many people does it take to remove a stubborn CV circlip

All sorted, play resumed, lets go kick it's ass again:

Engine survived, so great news there. I have some suspension upgrades planned and really need to learn to heel toe to reduce the strain on the CVs.

The Astra is very tidy, but engine issues shortly after fitting his Shonky sticker meant he fitted right in
