    I have put a drop of oil on the each of the bearings and work the spindle them, will normally free up and work, if powered up whilst seized as said the fuse will go, or the wiring!!!!

    The cover only goes on one way if I remember correct there is a raised lip on the cover that goes over the metal lip on the scuttle
    try a corsa heater motor I think mk 1 s have the same motor but maybe you can use the blower an switch from a later model
