    Once restored please don't drive in the wet/rain! I only take my sr out in the dry!

    Ignore the above advice and use and abuse it in all weathers! Your plating etc should make it withstand anything

    Not loads happening this week but one way to keep warm is doing the brave thing of taking the heat gun to the rear bumper.

    Gently at first:

    First full pass completed:


    Will leave to cool until tomorrow and have another looking before deciding if to go over again. Will probably then try some bumper cleaner/coater/gel of some form if anyone has any good recommendations.

    I have also managed to remove the reinforcing bar and brackets and will get them either painted or powder coated. It seems a shame not too even though they aren't in too bad a condition. The end brackets fixed to the inside of the bumper will just get a wire brush and coat of black paint.
