Only tool u need lad, bigger the better
Decided now to go down the route of a redtop so time to strip again to be seam welded, hopefully this should make it a more interesting first project goin to try keep the thread updated a bit better now too do more progress to follow tomorrow hopefully
Got my redtop engine home tonite there time to get it stripped out and get a few things done to it before it goes in
Started to remove the engine the nyt, hopefully have it removed tomorrow nyt, just learning as I go as this is the first time I've tried anything like this
Got the engine out of the corsa the nyt so time for the strip down and clean and a bit of freshen up, while I've it stripped down I'm goin to give the head a rebuild and the port and polish it and skim it then Al new gaskets and seals
Also got a few bits gathered this week
Good plans with the XE to give it a refurb, although I wouldn't try a DIY port job if that's what you're thinking. Don't forget to have the crank out and measured up.
You may want to use an OE XE sandwich plate instead of that shiny blue one as it has a thermostat switch inside to bypass the cooler.
Worth getting the larger radiator in there for a bigger engine.
comming along well!
Naw I'm goin to send the head away to get done, wot do u mean by measure up the crank?
Yeah still have the one here that came off the oil cooler that came in it, wot type of radiator suit I get?
Sorry for all the stupid question its just the first time I've done this so I want to do it right
