the the engine code is stamped on the block, if you look at the engine from the front of the car, where the cylinder head meets the block on the right hand side just under the exhaust port, you should be able to see part of the block facing up, if you clean that up the code will be on there.

Hi Mate, I tend to hang on to headlights/indicators etc as my nova is a rally car and those items are considered sacrificial
