Default Bought new VW issues already advice needed.

    Hi lads,

Need a bit of help and advice, I have had a 2003 VW Passat Tdi as my daily for years and last week CV disintegrated and with its mot being due and it's list of issues mounting I couldn't be arsed with fixing it.

So I headed out and bought another 2004 Passat Tdi yesterday from a local car dealer FSH 12 months mot and clean as a whistle. Test drove it and drove it home no issues. Heading into work today and it's come up "emissions workshop", looking into it this is a general thing and could be a split vacuum pipe, dodgy sensor ect.

So my question is do any pngers have any experience of similar issues in a VW and what does the dealer have to do ie does he have to fix it, can I ask for my money back ect?!? I still have my old Passat so can swap sensors and pipes ect

    Cheers for any advice

    Rory

Gonna take the car back to him in the morning see what he says then I have 2 mates with VAG diagnostic tools who will scan it for me and get to the root of the problem.
