well today, we competed in the local hinckley soapbox derby.... and having built a completely new wheelie bin based racer, using the morgan 3 wheeler as inspiration, we survived!!!!!!
i didn't win, but with a budget of £10, and a lot of skip diving, i wasn't expecting miracles, especially when mira, triumph, nissan & jaguar apprentices were entered... i was happy that me & youngest daughter made it down the hill 3 times each. even though on her 1st go in anger, she got to the chicane & nearly flipped it twice in the space of 10m... when i got to her, she said 'you said not to use the brakes until the finish.. i'm going to next time!!!'
