1985 1.3 SR in black. Snowplough SR with Daytona Check seats.
I have for sale a very rare and original, low mileage Snowplough SR. As far as I know it is the only original early SR in black still on the road.
It has 44,350 miles on the clock which I believe is genuine, but do not have proof apart from the recent MOT history.
It has had a light, no expense spared restoration a couple of years ago including fitment of a brand new RH door, front lower panel, rear arches and rear panel. I have photos of the restoration. The respray was excellent and the paint finish is superb in the original solid black. The shell is amazing being extremely solid with absolutely no corrosion in the usual problem areas. I can provide photos of any areas you wish to see.
It has also been fitted with a brand new snowplough front spoiler and genuine tailgate decal.
The SR is very original having the brown and Daytona check interior which is in good order, the original Philips radio cassette with dash mounted fader and original four spoke steering wheel.
There are a few subtle modifications including poly bushed front suspension, period amplifier installed with the original radio, new Weber carb and later 3 spoke alloys. Also it has a custom made full stainless steel exhaust which is perfect fitting and very quiet.
