Yeah I have some mint seats. I had the drivers bolster done with fabric from a spare passenger seat ages ago. Had them for the Sport shell.

That's going to be a worthy investment then after all, there can't be much more your needing to do after that though is there?

There is nothing really much that needs doing, just little bits here & there. Why, you looking to buy it?

Did changing the distributor remove the rattle?

Slack timing belts often cause the distributors to rattle on these engines.....
Well f**k me, you were correct. Removed the cambelt cover and found the belt was quite slack and could be twisted over 180 degrees!
It looked to be a new pump & belt so took a risk on the pump not leaking & tensioned it up correctly. Built it back up and hey presto, noise has gone!

Didn't get time to swap the seats over so just gave it a wash & wipe over. All ready for PVS.

    Glad to help....

Might be getting on (a bit), but still have a few nuggets of wisdom stored up there...

Spent a bit of time on the SR tonight. I removed what was left of the passenger Jesus handle. I wanted to keep the pegs so set about hacking the handle to bits around them. Made a bit of a mess

New handle in, just pegs to refit.

I have removed the modern CD player as I want to get the SR back to original with the dash mounted fader. Fader was disconnected from the modern wiring and readied for the original spec new old stock radio cassette.

Continuing on the original theme, I will likely put the original spec steering wheel back in. I had kept this from a low mileage 85 Swing I broke years ago.

Also want to fit a set of headlight washers. Just trying the tank for size

The radio only has an output for 2x speakers which goes to the fader and splits it to 4x speakers. As the power output will be so low I will likely then wire it to this period amp as it has speaker inputs as well as DIN then onto the speakers with 25wx4
