    Default C20xe unstable idle after choke

    Car ticks over fine on startup, then after 15 seconds not ticking over steady, up and down nearly cutting out, any ideas ? Would be appreciated

    Idle control valve and air flow metre would be first to check, also are your plugs a decent condition and what are the plugs like?

    Is it running dizzy or coil pack btw?

    must be idle control valve. I had the same problem. Give it a clean inside, I cleaned it with gasoline Still working haha

    Sound will try idle valve first, it's dizzy, plugs looked fine, when had head off to change valve seals and new valves, going to change all service parts soon, just had new fuel filter, will have a look at idle valve, is there any test u can do, did look clean inside when I sore it last

    My old civic used to do that got some funny looks a traffic lights. Just gave the ICV a good clean

    Cleaned up seams good at min, will test tomorrow when cold, hopefully go for a blast Sunday night after a year !

    temp sensor thats what was wrong with mine get 1 from millgate motor factors in town

    Sound bud, think it's sorted now but will get one when I get service bits, need another sump gasket again, pain in the ass !, must of overtightened it, crap !
