    Default E16SE block - Knackered?

Block has done 80,000 miles. The bores have been measured and deemed ok. the bearing tunnels are fine. I want to deck the block before rebuilding just to be on the safe side but the state of some water holes (example above) concerns me. Shall I just get another block?

when you get it decked, have a pressure test done for peace of mind, but I think it looks ok, get a bottle of rust inhibitor for your cooling system, available from all good outlets, and most of the crap ones too..

if only the last owner had been told that

Unsure if the place i'm taking it to has the facilities to pressure test it. They're a massive engineering firm but they don't specialise in engines. It's a friend of the family. Pressure testing a block shouldnt' be much more than a head should it? I better get some prices tomorrow.
