Going to use the repair panels I've got then make up rear inners etc going to be lots of modifying in the back end getting done. Like I've said above I have been thinking about space framing it.

Yes, nothing to stop a spaceframe going on the road and being legal. Look at Caterhams, Westfields, Cobras and the like.

Cheers, I'm going to have a proper look into I think it's the best route to go down.

It is however prohibitively expensive. Last time I looked (when it was a BIVA test you needed) it was about £1500 and if it didn't pass you'd have to go back and pay it again. They do like to change the rules classifications and pricing every once in a while though.

If it's already registered on a V5, and structural metalwork is replaced with tubing, I'm not convinced you need any additional testing.

Any modification to the original chassis (i.e the monocoque not including doors etc) means it requires testing. Technically any Nova with a C20XE and the required alternator cutout requires retesting.

Due to the classifications, I couldn't find any other way except the "one off car build" that you can legally get a car on the road. Mine would have got a new ID as well.

If I remember correctly it was even very difficult to get it out of the class that something like a Caparo T1 (limited run manufacturer builds) would go through which includes emissions etc.
