Hi does anybody know how to connect an iphone to car speakers without having a car stereo?
No way of doing it afaik!
Theres loads of cheap bluetooth and or usb headunits available these days though and its not hard to wire one it
If you where to connect speakers to a headphone jack (ie, cut off head phones and wire to speaker cable) this would 'connect them'
But it wouldnt work because they wouldnt play load enough (or at all)
You need a head unit for the amp.
You can get FM broadcasters for the I phone so you can play your tunes through anything that has a fm radio. (One thing I do miss about my okd iphone).
You could get an iPoo to RCA lead and connect it directly to an amplifier then to your speakers. Not sure how controlable it would be though.
I have a parrot mki9200 bluetooth kit that's great for connection to iPod/iPhone got it from halfords
Use beat headphones
I find it quite funny how often I see people listening to ipods or whatever in their cars with headphones on. It must be less safe as you wont be hearing as much background noise. Just whack a decent stereo in, they aren't expensive. I like the ones with a USB port, as then you can just use a cheapy USB memory stick with a ton of music on.
One day I'll start a build thread. One day...
