See that's why I want a Piper exhaust because of the way the tailpipe exits at an angle. I've been looking and they seem to be about £420-£440, I take it that's what you paid if you don't mind me asking? I take it you mean like this:

Yeah that's pretty much the one I have been sent. From what they have told me (after the inital mess up) the SR one kicks out at an angle but the GTE one comes straight out. Then the other difference is the bend at the downpipe end is different.

Mine was £350 from Venom Motorsport.

My mate had one on his mk2 1.4 16v nova, sounded nice but the tailpipe did stick out at an angle!!
1.6 16v's are the way forward!

Done a couple of little bits over the past few days.

Firstly, when I first bough the Nova I also bought a fuel filler cap. I didn't/haven't fitted it because it all went a bit manky so I decided to spray it matte black. I'm not too sure on the way it looks but I think it looks much better than the standard grey one.

I also finally ordered myself an oil catch tank to stop the oil leaking/dripping from the rocker cover hole down the block (I couldn't connect up the hose as I have a Dbilas inlet fitted). I didn't want the cheap £20 'normal' eBay catch tank but wasn't going to pay £90+ for a Mocal one. After having a search, I came across the one that I've bought for £26 delivered which is only a couple of quid more than the cheap ones. I think it looks much better and ties in with the shiny engine bay bits.

After spending hours looking for the right place to mount it, I finally decided on where the washer bottle used to be as it looked a little plain in that area. So, I used a new alternator bracket I had lying around, cut the end off it and bonded it (using the metal bonding stuff) to the bottom of the strut brace. I couldn't find my sharp blade to cut the hose to length so just put it on for now. It needs shortening a little but I'll do that when I find something to cut it with.

I'm also looking for a spark plug cover of some sort. I've been looking for one for a while with no luck but have asked Gary126 if he could make me one like his, I'm just waiting for him to come back to me about it.

If oil is dripping from the tube and running down the block would it not just pool in the lowest point in the tube as there is no vacuum pulling the gases through?

The rocker breather is under pressure tho. But only at high revs (iirc)

The cars looking very clean Liam as for exhausts could you not have a custom one made. I had one made for mine it's a 2 box system the back box is a big as it could be so its nice and quiet (a sign of getting old) and the tail pipe comes out straight and cost £250 fitted with life time warranty

catch tank looks great! And your right, decent ones are sooo expensive! I had a rectangular mocal one I got cheap from a mate, ended up not using it, and sold it faaaar too cheap. Should have checked what there worth, could have sold 10+ of them .
