As Connor said, on Saturday I went over to SVA Imports for their open day. I decided I may as well get the Nova dyno'd so I can give a reply to people when they ask what power it's running.

It made 129bhp at the wheels which I think is a bit optimistic. I shall be getting it dyno'd with a friends Corsa x14xe on bike carbs later this month or next month so we shall see then.

The feedback I got was that it drops in torque/power massively after 5,000rpm which is strange as these engines normally have power right up to the limiter. Anyway, the cause of this was soon found out as it was running rather low on fuel! When we left it had no power but once filled up with fuel it was fine again, fine enough to play with an e36 323i BMW .

At least I know to actually have some petrol in the tank before the next dyno

I think i've also made up my mind about the Nova. Once I find a job (got made redundant the other week), i'm going to start saving for another car and once I purchase one i'll store the Nova and use it a 'weekend car'. The reason I don't want to sell it now is because I know that I will regret it badly. Plus it's a clean shell and I know how it's all been done.

And a video from the rear:

    Just a little update...

We made it to Billing without any problems and even made it onto the Total Vauxhall Facebook page (twice)!

On Monday I fitted my rear GTE/GSi/TD anti roll bar and lowered the front of the car a bit more. I can't believe the difference and how much better the car performs with one fitted. I'm shocked they weren't fitted from standard to all Novas' really!

I also received this in the post today after looking for one for ages! (it's a brake reservoir cover)

I know, I've been wanting to do them along with the fronts for ages! It's just i'll have to leave the car for a while to wait for the paint to dry and can't really do it out in the road. I might give it a go tomorrow whilst it's hot outside as the paint might dry a little quicker.

    Cheers as always guys!

Been very busy the last few days so didn't manage to get many small jobs sorted. I did however manage to get the brake reservoir cover fitted along with replacing one of the main bulbs on my digi-dash/speedo (meaning taking half of the dash apart!).

I've bought a stainless steel oil catch tank and some red silicone hose so once all them bits arrive I'll get it fitted.

I've also had a thought of getting another rocker cover, painting it with wrinkle/crackle paint and then getting the body shop to spray it the same colour as the current one. I think it'll look much better and give it a bit more character as well.

(Really need to polish my header tank!)

So, yesterday a friend of mine wanted to test out his new camera so Connor and I kindly donated our cars to the cause. After a huge 10 minute downpour we decided to go down to the old Ramsgate docks/tunnel and get some pictures.

I took my camera as well and took a few. Here's some that I took:
