No, i made a tool to press bushes in and out (bit of threaded bar, two large washers, a spacer and 3 nuts)
It was easy really, the new ones very much just push in together... I used a G-clamp on one lower arm bush just to seat it fully..

I noticed at PV that the boot entrance lip at the bottom is not painted, have you got a plastic cover from the nova van model?

Can I bring Mine down for a rub?
I do have said trim. But as it was grey it needed painting, which i run out of time to do, like a lot of things.... And the top of the panel is painted, it just never dried (another story) so the paint can simply be picked/scratched off... Trim will be on with in days tho...

And yes, bring it on down.

That explains it, You could trim it rather than paint.

I was think of getting a porter cable but need some lessons first.

I have thought of it, but it wouldn't match the side trims.... And they can be very good but yes.

great topic Benn, I'm surprised that a roof is only welded on 4 points and some glue. The flocking is great, I had the total interior of my astra in beige.

The glue alone would be sufficient for the majority of roof skins...... Some quote their products to be stronger than weld nowadays

Top effort dude.........the hours you put in always reflect at a later date even if its a real pain at the time. I only got back from hols today and was pleased to see you made pv as I knew you was worried about the fast approaching date! Looking forward to a catch up in a few weeks!

Thank you very much Sir, As Nick says below, the glue is so strong that they use it to glue long wheel base van side panels on... So think of the force there. I do enjoy the flocking.

Thank you very much, There were a few late nights yes. But think it was worth it

So all the polly bushes are fitted now. WOW what a difference they make! The whole front end feels so much better! It isn't any harder which i'm happy with, but it's so tight. Everything feels really connected and tight.. Yes i keep saying tight as it's the only word i can think to use, really wish i had done it before. TIGHT!

Standard vauxhall bushes are good for throwing at people and that's about it.

I'm gonna agree, i'm really shocked at the difference, everything is so tight and nice.. My knock has gone, so have a few other random unidentified rattle like noises... So happy.
