When fuel is the biggest outgoing and tax on fuel is like 60-80% or something
stupid, then you take 20% of that last 20-40% as VAT, then income tax... it
    sounds about right.
Correct, i was thinking Taxman, as in incomewise, as opposed to the Government / HMRC in general.

Sounds like a good idea to knock it on the head with such poor profits. Much better than most who would have ran it into the ground then declared bancruptcy / insolvency.

precisely... there are loads of people kidding themselves about owning wagons... they run old knackers & spend 20hrs a weekend undfer them trying to keep them running.... an owner driver, or small haulier would earn way more & have tons omore free time if they sold the lot & drove a tesco delivery truck.

since the eu tried to take this country over (they have & under labour, very nearly did...) it has progressively got harder for a small haulage operator to do anything. the plan by the traffic commisioners is for large operators to run everything... this is how it works in france & germany.

Got the newly painted front splitter on the MR2. Looks so much better now.

Wish I didn't have to run a front plate.

    You converted to Islam mate?

I are happy because spring has (almost) sprung. Light nights and happy days!
