Hes not far way from there and is through that way quite a bit, although think the car will be of the road till April time.

Ach thought that was the update we were waiting for![]()

Paulyb - thanks for the comment and Iam glad you like the car, yes Iam from central Scotland but the car is locked away at my cousins in Perth atm where it will stay till the spring but will be getting the car out and about as much as possible next year so pop along to one of the regenal meets mate.
Sorry to disappoint you Kev I have been so busy with work and family illness to update the thread but have been picking away and do bits to the car when I have had the time, there will be an update this week of all the goings on with the sport and you can hold me to that![]()

Well here goes a very long over due update
First off back in may time i had saved up enough moneys to have a stainless steel four branch manifold built to replace the janspeed one that had cracked and seen better days so first off i took a template of the flange and got a peice of 10mm thick s/s and profiled it at home ! a few nights latter and it was done but wrecked the drill and totally p1ssed off the neghbours
Then it was time to have my decals fitted to the car, along with new badges. I used a local company to fit them who "specialise" in vinyl wrapping But they turned out pretty bad, with finger prints under them ,wrinkles and didnt follow the lines of the car very well, i was mega fecked off to say the least but with only a week or so till billing i just left it and planned to have them re done wheni got back home.
But more on the decals latter

Over the next few months i started to change and address a few bits of the car that needed doing like a set of regular use mats, chrome parts , new boot seal and also looking at getting better breaking, so replaced the m/c and servo from allan's silver gsi which made a massive differnce to the brakes both peddle feel and stopping power !
£10 halfrauds mats with a dealer sport patch i had lying about to keep my Vxl mats for show
Chrome parts
Bnib gm boot lid seal
Servo and m/c serviced, cleaned and painted

And then a few random pics from the drive after to test everything was working well with the brakes

A few Weeks latter on i took the decals off the two sides of the car ready to take it down to newcastle to have them re fitted bye some one who really knew what they were doing, so on the recomendation of mark- novacabrio off i went, happy knowing it was going to turn out right, and i cant thank him and also the guy who fitted them enough, he also applied a thick clear laminate on the front panel for stone protection
Being re fitted
Then i got a pair of Grey parcelshelf supports and painted them vxl brazil brown, i think they look much better than the brown material i had covered them with a few years ago, and go quite well with my black covered shelf the holds 6/9 speakers and have kept my unfaded brown shelf in the loft and want music more than the original shelf
I managed to get a replacment bronce tinted tailgate glass to replace my other one as it was badly scratched and chipped and also finially got round to fitting my dealer spec window sticker

A week or so latter a decided to fit the lowering springs i got off Nick J a few weeks before. They are -80mm rear and -60mm front springs i had powder coated blue to match the stickers on the bilstein shocks, it was graeme's (sport) idea to go with the blue and iam glad he sugested it, i just didnt know what colour to go forcheers mate !
The new springs are much stiffer than the old ones i had and now the car handles much better and i dont get such a spongy feeling when cornering
Before and after
Cheers
