Just wondering if anyone has any info on whether there is a specific alternator bracket you must buy for when running twin 45 webers cause the alternator seems to be fouling/catching on the twin 45's??

You can buy a cast adapted version of the original bracket at some cost but all I've done to clear the TBs is used some square steel plate with four holes drilled. Bolt the alternator to the plate using the bottom two holes and the top two to the block.
It's 4/5mm thick plate iirc
That sounds a better idea than forking out for a new bracket cause had the feeling they would be dear. Don't suppose you got any pics? Thanks for ya help
No problem. Don't have any pics unfortunately, never took any before fitting and you can't see it once it's in. The width you can sort using the OEM bracket, mine only drops the alt. about 2 inches. I use the original adjuster bracket without a problem.
Ah I get ya now. Tidy mate cheers. Is the standard belt still ok to use as was wondering of it would make the belt to long with the alternator being lower down?
To be honest I don't know what belt I have now, when the TBs were fitted a very long bracket and belt was used. what I have now is much shorter, I *think* its a bit longer than the original SRi one, I can probably dig out the size if you're desparate but best thing to do is measure using string and then go to the motor factors and buy the closest and try it out.
Ye no worries mate I can sort the belt out. Cheers for ya help mate will get on that first thing tmoz cause its holding my build up!!!
