The sound of running water under the floorboards!

Lifting the flooboards to be met with a comedy water leak that sprayed across the room, up the wall and accross the ceiling!

Spending 10 minutes with my thumb over a hole in the pipe to stop the comedy leak whilst the central heating system drained.

Now sorted but ruined what started out as a good day

Luckily its an older house so it is a suspended floor with floorboards with a concrete under floor so no damage done. Just wet vacced the water up once I was done.

Thanks for the offer but it was all sorted pretty quickly. The free emergency 24hr plumber(AKA Dad ) was round within 5 minutes and we sorted it between us. Just glad it was downstairs under the floor rather than upstairs above the ceiling!

Worse one was when a piece of my old kitchen worktop flipped over and fell on the stop cock damaging it. That was fun
