tell me about it... weekend nearest the longest day... 3 peaks challenge.. me & the other driver were bitten to buggery by midges in the ben nevis car park... the climbers were in 6" of snow at the summit...

was 3 degrees here on thursday and bazils another few hundred further north than me,i bet it was like at least -16 there.

andy, i'm in leicestershire.. about 3 miles from the exact centre of england (in a field 1/4 mile north of the MIRA test track at nuneaton to be exact) in the summer, we had a hailstorm that caused £50m damage in our town alone, and 3 weeks ago had a sharp frost.
in 1976, the year of the legendary long hot summer, in july, we had a blizzard. ok, it only lasted a few minutes then melted really fast, but screwed up weather is a british thing.

Was bad news though i saw it on the telly,sadly i cant remember 76 so cant comment,but in 04 i think it was it snowed on the humber bridge in august....
