the insurance is baffaling with these evos, he can insure a evo 5 for 1100 quid but the 6,7 and 8's have quotes come out at 2500 or more???

5s are pretty old now in terms of insurance. Less to repair, more likely to write off = lower risk so lower premium.

Which one is he buying tj? I read a thread on another forum, fella completely restored an Evo 7. Was a complete and utter rusty bastrad around the rear quarters.... Not uncommon on the 7 apparently.
