    Am I right in thinking ast are carb and nvo are injection?

    I was led to believe it didnt matter, i bought an NV062 for a 1300 SR that i had, but i gave it to a mate when the standard cam snapped in his GTE, and it went like a rocket afterwards

    It's to do with whther they have the lobe for the petrol pump or not as far as I know.

    its more than that, look at kents site, the cam timing, lift and duration is completely different between the ast's and nvo's

    Overlap is what matters on injection

    Hi Richard
    All of our cams come with a universal rear end for all drive types. The AST has higher overlap than the NVO which can sometime mess with the idle quality,

    and i imagine an spi is even more sensitive as well
