righty, so a little update
first job on this evening list was to mount the new, bigger mill motor that is hopefully much more suited to milling than the last one, which was fairly easy, i drilled and tapped the plates, while Brian bored out the pulley to suit the fat new shaft on the lathe..

Brian also had it all wired in and working by the time i left, and it seems pretty bloody good tbh, so we can now mill stuff again, yay!
after that, i didi a bit more on the splitter, having re familiarised myself with TIG welding, even got some nice looking welds

and some not so nice obviously, but what are grinders for!!lmao

looking pretty good now, sides are tacked in place, need to work out how to clamp it up to do the middle ones though, as the ally needs to take the shape of the strakes, should be a challenge! roll on the weekend…
