A quick quide to 5 studding your Nova.
What you'll need.
2x front Cav or Vectra front hubs.(Vectra ones are easier)
2x new Nova front wheel bearing kits.
Big block convo shafts with big block (cav) outer and inner cv joints.
Cav v6 or Vectra 5 stud rear hubs. (you can't use Calibra rear hubs)
With calipars.
5 stud wheels.
Brakes to suit as 4 stud discs wont bolt to the hub.
A Cav mk2 short hand brake cable (to run the drivers side brake) I use the middle length cable.
You might need to make new brake lines for the beam. Or you can try and bend yours.
So take your 5stud hub. Shown here,
This is the bit you machine, down to this size 34mm OD (which is Nova bearing size)
Making sure you keep a good radius on the bottom for the bearing to run on.
If you use Cav hubs you might have this extra lump on them, if you do you'll need to take this down too, as a 288 disc one fit over it.
Press the hub in to a new Nova front wheel bearing. Then press that all in to your hub and fit circlips.
Now a 256 disc wont bolt to use new hub as they are the wrong PCD, so either dont bolt them up or upgrade your brakes (i would) at the same time.
Rears.
Your beam will be converting to run discs for the first part. Once that is done, you need either Cav v6(non abs if you can find, if not you need to make sure the abs ring fits the hole in your beam, if not open the hole up or get the abs ring machined off like here,
or Vectra rear hubs.
Once bolted on, you'll need a Cav mk2 short hand brake cable to fit the drivers side and a Nova long for the pass side.
You may need to remake your brake lines on the beam, as the calipar is in a different place to the Nova hub and cylinder, you might get away with bending it tho.
After bleeding your brakes you can fit your new wheels and enjoy.
