sill and arch replacement

I decided to attack the sill/arch to see how bad and how far the rot has gone. This is where im at



what I need is a picture of how the rear quarter inner panel is supposed to look

The counts beige mk1 thread will be your friend for that, he was working on that section recently

ive already found that but im not sure how original he made it, it looks more like his interpretation of how it could be

I have a new, unused inner quarter at me workshop but it'll be Sunday before I can get pictures I'm afraid,

its just a another sheet of metal inside that runs along above the sill, i think its for strengthening

I would say how count did it!

That would be awesome bazil. I think it is supposed to sandwich between the inner out out sills which counts doesn't.

well having attacked it some more today and guess what, surprise surprise count is exactly right dont know why i doubted it really.

poor picture but shows the counts is the same



how the hell you spot weld it is beyond me though.

also really pleased how clean my inner sill is
