    Default Non-nova - Porsche 911

    Hi Folks,

After only owning my previous 996 5 weeks, A taxi driver pulled from a sideroad and t-boned me, writing it off. I thought i'd have a challenge finding another in such good condition, with the sports seats (love them), but thankfully I found one.

    Here it is, 2002 996 911 carrera 2, 3.6L

    Spec:
    - Metropole blue extended leather
    - Sports seats with crest
    - PSE (sounds superb)
    - Porsche twist 18's
    - Bose
    - Satnav

It's in fantastic condition. I'm incredibly smitten right now!

Photos: (car needs a clean and some better photos, these are from my iPhone)

    Cheers

    Keith

Lush, sad about your other one though I hope you get a good payout to invest in a Nova.

I know I shouldn't ask but how much does one of the Porsches cost these days?

Depends on condition and spec. A early 996 (like 1997/98) would be around 10-14k depending on condition, which is really cheap for a 911, the recession has made them affordable. Mine was closer to 20k due to year, condition and spec.

Yeah, they are expensive, and expensive to maintain, but so so worth it, superb cars. (and a bargain considering this would have been about 78k new with the extras) A early 90's 964 can be had for decent money now too, though they are more of a toy than a daily car.

I was laughing at the fact you can but one for the price of a Mondeo, I suspect running costs will be scandalous though. I've heard alternators ain't the cheapest on some Porsches btw as a guy I know paid a fortune for one.
