Panic over, no strike till after Easter.

And as for the woman that got burnt when the fuel she was transferring in the kitchen, caught light, cause she was bloody cooking at the time! Words fail me.

i personally would like to know her ethic background, as there are thousands of stories of women in the indian subcontinent who seem to play with petrol near stoves....

i have been witness to a 5l petrol can igniting & it is remarkably tame, and you can put it out with a damp cloth.

    This.

But also all the big fuel firms with tankers full sitting off shore in the north sea waiting for the price of fuel to rise once everywhere starts running dry, then land & offload at premium price for the privilidge of waiting out at sea for a few extra days.

Everyones a winner except the consumers.

All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal

To be fair, £32m wouldn't make a dent in the debt (won't even pay 'my' contract for 3 months ), and as said in the mid term it will probably lower tax revenue due to people conserving what they have. Give it a few days once the panic has stopped and supplies come in, and petrol stations will be like ghost towns as no fcuker will need it

I agree in that sense, but the government could have chosen the wording for their "speech" a little wiser.
As i said earlier, all folk do now is strike, striking is sooooooo 1970's ffs.Sack the cunnts, thats what i would do.Dont like it? see ya!!
Instead of ZOMFG PANIC OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The best laugh about this whole debacle,is that the zomfg'ers are people who seldom use cars/fuel-so its not even needed as mr jones goes to bowls once a week and mrs jones goes to bingo the same, they may venture for fish and chips once a flood.Pathetic.
Thus resulting in normal, sane minded people like myself to be then charged more and or have to travel to get fuel.Thats what annoys me.

I went to buy fuel from Shell today (get some points while I'm at it ) as the SR's fuel needle was wrapped around the needle stop. This is 7:50 am when I dropped the wife to work. I see a long ass queue. Immediately started swearing at the lot of them.

I normally stick about 20 quid which sees the gauge go to about half way and lasts about 7 - 9 days, but seeing as these n00bs were filling their giant Jeeps and Vans with whatever they could stick their hands on, I got £35 just in case. It'll last me about 14 - 21 days so it's aight.

It just feels like a stunt to get everyone to buy as much fuel as poss so that money can be made. 172% increase in fuel sales. A bit too convenient!

@ Jack - the guy who come out saying fuel is dangerous. In saying that, a woman in York was decanting fuel from one container to another in her kitchen with the gas cooker on Let's just say it blew up and burnt her.
