Aparrently fuel purchases have gone up by 80% and possibly some at inflated prices. Think of all the extra revenue that has created for the government who started the panic, I think they have had the last laugh!

Short term gain, yes. But bear in mind people will be driving less to 'save fuel' - so their average consumption over time will go down. They'll make that full tank last longer than it normally would, so won't be refueling as often as they would have on an average day/week/month. So in the longer term, the government lose out (notwithstanding any VAT gain from price hikes of course).

Kinda lucky here as the fuel stations are all big chains so the prices haven't changed. The only small independent place went out of business about 12 years ago, see previous post

Andy, watch out as now is the time police decide to start doing random stop n' dips for the pink stuff

Clocks go forwards, weather turns nice, people actually wanna drive for please and this happens AGAIN; it's no coincidence this sh1t doesn't occur in the middle of winter.

Ive just had a thought as sometimes i park the astra out front when i get home late as its too much faff parking down a dark tenfoot and walking back round, but ill bet anything that all the tank drilling pikeys are out tonight and a lot of people come out to find their tanks mysteriously empty and porus in the morning, so the astra is parked round the back down our locked tenfoot (only got half a tank thats been in there over a week and a half now) but thats not the point
