Today I continued the project, first off all I finished off the down/up pipe.
Welded this onto the end so it now lines up with my ashley system.
I also welded some M8 Nuts onto it so I could fit a heat shield.
Then disaster struck and I ran out of welding wire.....
This put an end to the welding for today
My friend Ryan made him self useful and DA'd the back panel then primed both the back panel and N/S inner arch.
Top job, any way then me and rob removed the engine, useing a...... mini digger. Lewis should have a video of this.
Basically dropped the shell on the floor and then removed the engine and lifted the shell back up.
Engine out and rack off. Next step is to stitch the bay at the back, then prime and fill.. joys!!

More Nice work Dan!
Ment to ask this before and have probably missed it in your project thread but whats the deal with your inlet there, is that from a different car/engine or something as mines has the airbox sitting up top???

Thanks kev, the manifold is the standard 1500 one which has been cut down.

Worked well though :P

Pulled my finger out tonight and rubbed down two more wheels, they're in front of the fire now drying as I used Wet and dry. Will prime them tomorrow, and hopefully have them painted by the end of the week. Then Lacquer all four next week hopefully!!
